Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-18
Lightbulb Labs LLC ("Lightbulb Labs", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have, in connection with our website at lightbulblabs.net (the "Site") and any communications you have with us.
Individual Lightbulb Labs products and applications may collect additional information necessary for their functionality. Each such product publishes its own privacy policy that applies to that product. This policy covers only the Site and direct communications with Lightbulb Labs.
Information we collect
Information you provide. When you contact us — for example, by emailing contact@lightbulblabs.net — we receive the contents of your message, your email address, and any other information you choose to include.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our web server records standard request logs, including IP address, user agent string, requested URL, referring URL, and timestamp. We use these logs to operate, secure, and improve the Site.
No analytics or advertising trackers. The Site does not use third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking pixels.
How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your inquiries and maintain a record of our correspondence.
- Operate, maintain, and secure the Site.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers. We use a small number of third-party infrastructure providers (e.g., hosting, email delivery) that process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Lightbulb Labs, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. If Lightbulb Labs is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
Data retention
We retain information only for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, to comply with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Email correspondence is generally retained indefinitely unless you request deletion.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information we hold about you, including the rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict its use, and to object to certain processing.
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to request deletion. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Residents of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland may have rights under the GDPR or comparable laws, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@lightbulblabs.net. We will respond within the time period required by applicable law.
International data transfers
Lightbulb Labs is based in the United States. If you access the Site or contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have data protection laws different from those of your country.
Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party links
The Site may include links to third-party websites or services. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.
Cookies
The Site itself does not set tracking cookies. Embedded resources from Google Fonts may cause your browser to retrieve fonts from Google; this is functional and not used to identify you. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting the Site's core functionality.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
